Sorry I haven't been writing my email, it's always the last thing on my mind, so this email will be about the last 3 weeks.

The first thing that happened was we had transfers and I'm in a trio now. It's kind of fun but also kind of hard because now there are always 3 different opinions and 3 different people that need to use the bathroom every morning haha.

One day we were walking down a sketchy alley at night and we saw a dude digging a hole with a pickaxe which honestly isn't that weird in Peru. As we got closer, we were about to ask if he needed help but then we saw a dead dog right next to the hole...we decided he was doing just fine on his own haha.

We got a new guy in our district this transfer, and he got a really good first experience. He doesn't know any Spanish and his companion doesn't know very much English and so he had no idea what was going on. We went to this house for service, and they gave him a bucket full of potatoes and told him to clean them with just his hands. Very nice welcome.

We had service about an hour away, right next to Lake Titicaca and we just chopped wood for like an hour and a half. It wouldn't have been that bad, but the axe was probably the thickest and heaviest axe I've ever seen, and the blade was super dull, so it was actually pretty hard. One of my companions has never touched an axe in his life so it was a fun time watching him try to swing the biggest one of all time. We played a game where whoever can split a piece of wood in the least amount of swings wins and the guy that we were doing service for was crazy, none of us got close to him. We felt kinda bad for our companion so after about 20 swings without so much as a crack, we had mercy on him and let him stop and told him it was the woods fault. But then the guy kind of ruined the lie when he split it in 2 swings.

A couple days later we had service at the same place and they had us cleaning weeds out of his garden with a pickaxe and making the rows deeper. It wasn't bad but I had blisters so it wasn't super pleasant.

We were playing soccer last p day and I got hit in the face with the ball and got a black eye. It was weird though because I've been hit in the face way harder without a mark, so I must have been hit just right. Also my knuckles have been splitting because they're dry, so I just looked like I got in a fight or something.

Yesterday there was a dog that tried to attack us and one of my comps threw a rock at it and as it was running away like 10 other dogs got in a giant fight. It was the biggest dog fight I've seen so far and it was super loud and dusty and stuff. It was crazy.

Yesterday at church 2 girls came and we've never seen them before, so we went to talk to them and they were just there to sell a book. They gave us a whole lecture about how we need this book and they were flirting with one of my companions the whole time. They were so mad when they found out that as missionaries we can't have girlfriends and we can only do handshakes for physical contact. They were very forward with my comp haha.
