Week 4

Sorry guys, these past few weeks have been packed and if I'm being honest, sending an email has been the last thing on my list haha.

The mtc is pretty fun, the food is good most of the time and I have a super fun district. The classes were super boring until we started Spanish immersion, it's super hard but honestly kind of fun, and it's nice to see the progress I'm making.

Our first week at the mtc we got to hear from Elder Bednar and his wife and that was super cool, they had great talks and I got to shake his hand.

We get to go to the temple every pday and it's been super fun but it takes up most of our free time and we found out most people get to go on just a normal day. I wish that was the case for us so I could get out of class😂

I'm really glad I'm serving a mission and I know this is where I'm supposed to be right now. Thanks for your support back home, I miss you guys and love you lots.


Also I forgot to take pictures until this morning so enjoy the temple and my shoes.

     These 2 weeks were both awful and pretty cool. They were awful because I got super sick last week and sick days on the mission are not fun. At home you can sleep and watch tv and do whatever, but on the mission, you're just trapped in the house calling people all day long... not fun. But it was pretty cool because we baptized 2 people.      The first person we baptized is named William and he's 10 years old and he was kind of frustrating to teach because he had infinite energy and likes to punch and kick and head butt us. He didn't really think he needed to learn because his older brother is a member, so he already wanted to be baptized. There was one lesson where we taught him who Joseph Smith was probably 20 times because we asked him who he was 20 times and he didn't know haha. We felt super bad though because the water heater didn't work for the baptismal font, so the water was freezing and he was shivering really bad. But he's baptized...

Week 2 in Peru

 Hey guys sorry for missing my email last week, I didn't do it in the morning when I had time, then before I knew it, it was too late. The travel to get to Peru was awful haha. We left the mtc at like 7am ish and we got to Peru at 9:30am the next day. I dont know about you, but 26 hours of travel without any entertainment when everyone is speaking Spanish for the second half is not pleasant, but we got here.       The first few days were pretty fun. All the new missionaries stayed in Cusco for a few days with the APs, office elders, and the mission president while they figured out the transfers and stuff. We basically were given cards with a picture of Jesus and directions to the church building and were told to street contact. I felt like an annoying sales person but at least I know my product is good haha.      I went to a lesson with one of the APs and he doesn't speak any English but it ended up going good.
